AI Insights from Our Youngest Thinkers

Since 2022, The Alan Turing Institute embarked on a groundbreaking project in collaboration with the Children’s Parliament of Scotland and the Scottish Alliance for Artificial Intelligence. Together, they’ve been exploring the intriguing question: “What can children teach us about AI?”

Their journey has taken them to primary schools all over Scotland, where they have interacted with some of the brightest young minds between the ages of 7 and 11. They have held a series of face-to-face introductory workshops on artificial intelligence and children’s rights.

Discover these young thinkers who are giving us new perspectives on what’s really important in the field of AI written by Sabeehah Mahomed, Dr Mhairi Aitken and Alex Krook : https://www.turing.ac.uk/blog/what-can-children-teach-us-about-ai?utm_source=LinkedIn&utm_medium=Children_AI_blog_linkedIn&utm_campaign=Children_AI_blog&utm_id=ChildrenAIblog

This project isn’t just about educating children on AI; it’s about listening to them and learning from them. It’s about empowering them to participate in discussions about their future and shaping the world they’ll inherit.
