The UNESCO World Conference on Culture and Art Education was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, between 13-15 February. We at KidsAI had the privilege of participating in this significant conference focused on artificial intelligence, uniting culture and education sector partners from across the globe. It was really impressive to see the pioneering steps that the UAE has taken in the field of AI.
The UAE’s commitment to AI is underscored by substantial investments, like the $2.5 billion injected into AI over the last decade, positioning the UAE as a regional leader in AI investment. Their visionary approach is demonstrated through its AI Strategy 2031, which is geared towards enhancing government performance using smart digital systems and leading AI investments across various sectors. As AI reshapes every industry and every aspect of life, our intervention at the conference on the role of AI in children’s media takes on additional significance. It is vital to develop artificial intelligence that not only nurtures our children in their educational journey, but also ensures their well-being.
We are at an exciting juncture where the AI strategies and policies of the UAE not only lead in the region but also pave the way for a future. In light of the discussions at the World Conference, we look forward to engaging with this vibrant AI landscape and contributing responsibly and ethically to the AI-driven future that the UAE has carefully crafted.
